through mailing list archives.

I found Matt's patch and applied it - worked great for scripting a demo we
needed! Thanks, Matt! Sascha, I agree with your response to Matt's - a
simple interim solution like Matt posted would be a good idea while a more
thoughtful approach (e.g. using IPC) is implemented to handle reusing an
already running instance.
