Hi Sandra,

the June release version does not support 3D measurements directly. Our 
measurement plugin can only be used in a plane. What you can try to do is to 
rotate one of the render windows so that the two points are lying on the 
rotated plane. Then you can draw a line with the measurement plugin on this 
rotated plane which should give you the distance.
