Hi Félix,

the DICOM loading behavior is not really intuitive, I agree. We're 
currently investigating this, maybe you want to follow

Since DICOM files are somehow different to other files (multiple files 
together represent one 3d image but it's not obvious which ones) we 
think the future for DICOM loading in MITK will be the new, experimental 
DICOM plugin. Have you tried it? It can scan tzhe files in a directory 
an the user can choose which series to load. In the future we want to 
add previews and in general a more usable interface. We would be happy 
to get some feedback on this.
