Hello Andreas,

thank you so much for your feedback.
Only these data behave such a way. When I try to read it with File->Open, after the first slide a Segmentation error occur and the mitkWorkbench is closed automatically. (I add the description to the bug)

I have some other MR images of brain, it can be read without problem.
The only difference between the data was: the prostate images were saved from machine without dcm extension, it had to be added to being seen by DICOM Editor, the brain images had the .dcm extension from beginning.

Thank you for your help,
Fabiola

Hi Fabiola,

sorry for getting back to you so late. Thank you for reporting this issue. The problem which you describe is most likely a bug in our dicom editor. As you certainly have noticed the dicom editor is currently highly experimental. Right because of that we are really glad about any kind of feedback we get so that we can improve the dicom editor constantly!

I have filed a bug for this:

http://bugs.mitk.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14613

We will try to take care of it as soon as possible! Until then you can load you dicom data by simply using the "File->Open"

Did you manage to find out whether this bug is related to your specific MRI data? Or does it appear with other kind of data as well?

Best regards

Andreas

*Subject:* [mitk-users] dicom Editor problem: reading the same dataset from the first position of local DB for different patients

Hello Michael,

I have several patients data with PET-CT and MRI(T1,T2) images. When I was running at the first time the ./mitkWorkbench in dicom Editor I created a Local storage with a Patient X's MRI data. Now, I have for every patient PET-CT and MRI data but I can read only the PET-CT data. Whenever I am reading an MRI data of Patient Y, Z it is reading the Patient X. Running the workBench from the console, I could get the error message during the MRI data reading. Here it is:

inserting filePath: "/MRI/dicom/12080812/39010000/34539679.dcm"
database filename for
"1.3.12.2.1107.5.2.32.35231.2012080812334543397455002" is empty - we
should insert on top of it Going to insert this instance with
dbPatientID: 1
Statement: SELECT * FROM Series WHERE SeriesInstanceUID = ?
Used existing series:
"1.3.12.2.1107.5.2.32.35231.2012080812283898279053207.0.0.20"
QSqlQuery::value: not positioned on a valid record
Can you help me please to find out what is missing from the MRI data that dicom Editor needs it? The data is not ordered of course, but neither from the PET-CT and it can read those ones.
Thank you in advance,
Fabiola
