Hi Cyril,
as far as I'm concerned the algorithm is implemented according to the paper by
Rudin and Osher. See here:

If this is not mentioned at all in the documentation, we should add this.

Thomas

Subject: [mitk-users] Total Variation Denoising Filter
Hi everyone,
I've discovered MITK today, and I think I could use the
itkTotalVariationDenoisingFilter in my work. But I would like to understand how
it works, not just use it (it works fine, by the way).
I couldn't find much in the Doxygen documentation. From the source code, I saw
that it iteratively executes the itkTotalVariationSingleIteration filter, but
itkTotalVariationSingleIteration's source code is quite complex and I don't
understand it. Does anyone know where to find a precise description of the
algorithm it implements ?
Regards,
Cyril Mory
