Hello Anika,
the Clipping Plane View as part of the Segmentation Plugin allows the creation
of interactive clipping planes. A typical use case is the separation of
distinct parts of a segmentation. In this case a segmentation is used and a new
clipping plane is created. By using the interaction tools (D – deformation, T –
translation, R – rotation) the clipping plane can be adapted according to the
user needs. In the end a clipped image with the separated segments is obtained
and the volume of the different parts can be calculated. The view can be used
with up to eight independent clipping planes that can be all deformed
individually to allow the user an exact separation of the desired part of the
segmentation.

We are sorry for not providing a detailed user manual I enrolled a bug in our
bugzilla – you can follow the progress using the following link

Best regards
Sven

The Clipping plane tool is not explained in the MITK User Manual. What is it
for and how does it work?
