Hi Sarah,
this version is added in the QmitkExtWorkbenchWindowAdvisor in the function
ComputeTitle(). You can disable it by calling ShowMitkVersionInfo(false) on the
QmitkExtWorkbenchWindowAdvisor you use for setting up your application.
I believe there is currently no way to add your own version add that position,
but that should be easily doable (there just has not been a request for it so
far).
I have created a bug for this feature [1]. If you have specific requirements we
would appreciate your commenting them there, as the interface development for
the QmitkExtWorkbenchWindowAdvisor is very much request driven.

Dear all,
I am trying to customize a Project derived from MITK. We managed to change the
application name, but the version number (red border in attached image) remains
the one from MITK.
setApplicationVersion() in the applications cpp file is ignored.
Any idea where I can customize this number?
