Hi Miguel,
mitk::Image::Initialize(...) should handle the transfer of geometry
information from the vtkImageData to the mitk::Image. I'd make sure
MyVTKImage is up-to-date. Also, there's a mitk::DataNode::SetName(...)
convenience method:
MyVTKImage->Update();
mitk::Image::Pointer outputImage = mitk::Image::New();
outputImage->Initialize(MyVTKImage);
outputImage->SetVolume(MyVTKImage->GetScalarPointer());
mitk::DataNode::Pointer dataNode = mitk::DataNode::New();
dataNode->SetData(outputImage);
dataNode->SetName("MyVTKImage");
// ...
this->GetDataStorage()->Add(dataNode);
