Does the MITK team run any static code analysis tools on the MITK code
base? If not, Coverity is free for open source projects and can be
automated to be run e.g. after every nightly build with results publicly
available on a web-based dashboard:

For commercial users of MITK it could provide some more data to make the
case for why MITK is the best toolkit choice. And, of course, hopefully
uncover some hard-to-find bugs.
