Hi Wilson,

The number of columns depends on the number on nodes in the network. Currently
a node is only added to the network if at least one fiber connects to it, so
you might have different numbers of nodes depending on the number of connected
regions. However there should never be more columns than labels in the
parcellation. If you can supply me with a parcellation and resulting network
where this happens I would be happy to take a look.

Best,
Caspar

Betreff: [mitk-users] Connectivity matrix dimensions and ROIs

Hello,
I am working with diffusion MRI data from Freesurfer and have been using MITK
Diffusion to generate networks and connectivity matrices. Workflow has been to
process the DTI in MITK Diffusion and with a generated mask to create a fiber
bundle, then using the fiber bundle with Freesurfer labels in DTI space to
generate the network and connectivity matrix.
My problem arises with the dimensions of the connectivity matrix. There is a
mismatch between the dimensions of the MITK generated matrix and number of
Freesurfer regions. Sometimes MITK Diffusion reports more columns than there
are FS regions and other times there are fewer columns than FS regions. What is
the cause behind this and is there any way to fix this?
Thanks,
Wilson
