Hi Luis,

the information on our website seems to be outdated. Sorry for that, and thanks
for pointing this out! We will update that for the next release.
About a month ago we introduced some extensive changes to our build system
which also included the support for some c++ 11 features. Due to that, the
minimum CMake Version is now 3.1 and for Mac OS X the minimum clang version is
5.0.

There has also been a notification on MITK-users regarding that:
http://sourceforge.net/p/mitk/mailman/mitk-users/thread/54E3B115.7030103%40dkfz-heidelberg.de/#msg33450733

Generally we strongly recommend all MITK users not to use the latest MITK
master but the latest MITK release: http://mitk.org/wiki/Downloads#MITK_Releases

because this version is well tested and you can be sure that the build works
for all supported platforms:
http://docs.mitk.org/2014.10/SupportedPlatformsPage.html

If you really want to work on the MITK master I recommend to use apple-clang
version 6 and Qt 4.8.6 (since there are still some Mac issues with Qt 5).

Best regards,
Andreas

Betreff: [mitk-users] MITK on MAC

Hello, I am trying to build MITK but I am unsuccessful at it. The website says
the CMAKE version has to be 2.8.9 which is what I had but then the cmake
../MITK_build command states that I needed 3.1 or more. After updating the
CMAKE then I get this message which I don't know how to fix. Apple Clang
version must be at least 5.0. Any help would be appreciated.
