There have been two bigger improvements regarding the 3D interpolation in the 
last year.

Already included in MITK 2014.10: We sped up the 3d interpolation by using a 
different numeric library, enabled undo/redo and re-initialization across 
application restart. See also:

For MITK 2015.05 we extended the 3D interpolation so that is also works on 4D 
images. See also: http://mitk.org/wiki/MITK_ReleaseNotes_2015.05#Segmentation

I guess you are speaking of the latter one. The related bug branch ist 
bug-16133-3D-interpolation-4D-support. See also:

Dear Mailinglist, I’m forwarding a question of my colleague concerning the mitk 
segmentation tool improvements between version 2014.10 and current version.

Hello,

we have a problem with the segmentation tools and the 3D interpolation for some 
data sets.
We are using the Mitk 2014.10 version.

We have found out that the 3D-interpolation was significantly improved in the 
new 2015 version.
Thus we have tried to forward merge changes from the new version into our old 
2014.10 version (Sadly we can't right now switch to the newest mitk version).

Long question short. Could anybody tell me were these significant interpolation 
improvements have taken place within the source code, so we can patch our old 
Mitk version?
