I'm afraid that's not possible, as crucial functionality of views expect/are 
triggered by opening, showing and closing them. At best I could imagine a 
layout option for that but I don't think there's something like this available 
yet. Your use case sounds a bit strange at first, maybe you can elaborate a bit 
more on that so that we might help you finding an alternative?
