It's not a Linux problem - Your Linux setup is missing 
some basic permission modifying the files in virtualbox shared folder for drive 
E:
I suppose you need to check your privilege in the virtualbox setup.
Sorry, I am not familiar enough with vb on windows to help there.

The timestamp of files is essential when using cmake with the GNU/Linux "make" 
process.
