?Hi Matthias,

ACVD is still present in MITK v2018.04.2. The first version of MITK that
dropped ACVD is v2021.02. Yes, we used the repository you referenced and there
are occasional maintenance commits mainly contributed by others and also us +
our local patches but regarding VTK 9 the contributed code was rather
incomplete, contained quite a few bugs and missed crucial points of VTK 9
completely. This may be different now after 1 year and a few months. I would be
happy if these issues are resolved meanwhile and I wouldn't hesitate to roll
back from the current simple remeshing to the stunning ACVD algorithm.

Best,

Stefan

Betreff: ACVD in 2022 - with different repository

Hi Stefan,

quick question about ACVD.

You guys did drop ACVD support after MITK2016 due to lack of maintenance of
AVCD.
In
https://phabricator.mitk.org/transactions/detail/PHID-XACT-WIKI-7u2ngpf57pxe265/
you write it's about 8 years old.
 (| ~~ACVD~~ | `3d5ae388` (Dec 19, 2014) | |)

However, the developer of ACVD Sebasien Valette seems to have a separate
repository at https://github.com/valette/ACVD in which he continues to develop
and maintain the tool.
Did you guys have a look at the repository before dropping the functionality,
or is this a new development.
There seems to be even a branch for vtk9, but I don't know how up to date it is.

The last commit was 2 months ago

Best regards,
Matthias
