Hi Miri, while everything you describe can be done manually (except for titles), we do not have a fitting command-line interface for the MovieMaker or for anything else in MITK in that regard. However, we are working on a Python integration which may be quite useful for the purpose but it is too early to give any estimates now, so if you need to get stuff done at the moment, I probably would recommend to use a dedicated software for animation/rendering/recording. It could be worth investigating into the direction of Blender, Unity, or the Unreal Engine for example.

I wanted to clarify that I'm looking for some advanced effects, such as: * Changing opacity (e.g., at 0:28 in the video) * Toggling visibility on and off for images or models * Removing the crosshair and rotating the image/model * Adding titles These are the main effects I'm aiming for. Is there a way to create such a video using the command line? Something like this (I'm looking for the most automated method that involves the fewest button presses): MITK Movie_Maker MRI.nrrd model.vtk [model_color] [min_opacity max_opacity] [10] Where the command would: * Open MITK with the MRI image and model * Color the model and change its opacity from min to max over 10 seconds Additionally, I assume the current module can perform rotations depending on the configuration, but it seems to allow only one rotation at a time. To create a video like mine, multiple configurations are needed for each rotation. Please correct me if I’m mistaken. Best regards. It allows you to automate certain animations: rotation in the 3D view and scrolling through a spatial / time dimension. This animation can then be played and also recorded. To make a recording, you have to download FFmpeg and set its corresponding path in the Movie Maker preferences (Ctrl + P). For more info, you can press F1 while in the Movie Maker view to open its help page. I hope this helps, let us know if you have further questions. Let me clarify what I mean: Here’s a link<https://youtu.be/st3w6nHR6ms> to a screen recording I made using MITK. I’m wondering if it’s possible to automate parts of this process completely (by simply inserting an image and a model, then pressing a button to generate the video). I’m open to using another tool you might suggest or writing a Python script ?... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Miri Trope Data Science and AI Consultant My Website<http://miritrope.xyz> \ LinkedIn<https://www.linkedin.com/in/miri-trope-916a194a/> Phone: 0526-949400 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ _______________________________________________ mitk-users mailing list mitk-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/mitk-users
