Hello Mixxx Team,
I, Sidharth Bansal, wish to be a part of your community by helping in
development of Mixxx. Following is my introduction:
*About me:*
I am a college student from India, who started coding 2 years back from
now. I love listening to music, but same as my coding experience, my
experience in English music particularly is of 2 years only, so i explore
more awesome music everyday. I have knowledge of C, C++, Qt, python,
django, java, android, HTML, javascript. And by knowledge, i mean i am
known to all the stated languages / platforms, but i cannot say i am very
experienced with any.
I have a real passion for music, and i always loved the way DJ's would mix
and twist the music making it sound even better(to be real, sometimes they
ruin it too.), and hence always wished to be a part of it.
*How i get to know of your organization:*
I have a friend who did GSoC-2012 and pushed me to try GSoC-2013 and asked
me to check 2012's accepted organizations. I did as he said, and got to
your name in the list. And here we are.
*What got me to contact you:*
First of all the name, i just loved this name, MIXXX. Secondly, what you
guys do, make open Software for DJ's. As i said, i always wanted to know
how DJ's do what they do to the music. And Thirdly, i loved the way
everything was written, be it blob, be it forums, be it guide pages.
*Why i wish to be a part:*
I love music, i love DJ's and their work, and hence i am eager to know
their tools, and if get chance to develop one, i will just love it. Also, i
stand nowhere for now in programming, but i feel like, yes i can do nice
job if i get the chance to work. And the most importantly, i believe it is
best to be a part of something that u like. So here i am, mailing you guys.
Let me repeat this again, i do not have much experience in coding, but as
your forum said, i can learn along way, i develop. I hope you people will
look forward to my mail, and help me in getting involved.
