Hello I am a student of National Institute of Technology(NIT T), Trichy, India.
I would like to participate in GSoC 2013 under Mixxx; more so, I would like to earn some experience, while being able to contribute to the open source. I am highly dedicated, and can learn quickly. However, as of now, I know only c++ and c. Why I specify on this point is that, I noticed in source code, there was extensive use of QT as was mentioned in the Get Involved page. I would like to know, if it could be a hindrance, provided the time scope. I have explored Mixx site quite extensively(as far as I know). I am stuck a certain point now. I would like to get some guidance and direction. I explored the wiki page : http://mixxx.org/wiki/doku.php/start and I followed on to the easy bugs that can be fixed in a weekend page. When I click on a bug in the bug list, a new page about the bug description, the conversation open up. Now this is where I am stuck. From here I don't know where to proceed. What I mean to say is, I am not able to understand how I can try to tackle the bug now. I am assuming that this is the link to the source code : http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~mixxxdevelopers/mixxx/trunk/files ..am I right? Can you please point me where to proceed from here? I know I leave you high and dry. I am assuming for every bug reported, the bug report would also mention where in the source code the bug is present. Am I right? Awaiting your reply...
