Thanks to Albert and Adam's formula crunching session Hercules DJ Console
support (MK2 and possibily MK1 - untested) should be working again. (plug
for ZunZun.com for their formula finder)

Mixed amongst the good news is some bad news for Albert's MP3 Control...
The legacy code for dev file based support has been removed.

The reasoning for this is that with all of the engine values changing, that
old code won't work anymore unless someone were to go through and fix all of
the values (xfader: -127 to 127 -> 0.0 to 1.0, pitch from 0 to 127 -> 0.0 to
4.0, etc). I've mentioned before that the old code is pretty crappy with
respect to latency and concurrency of input (two or three input changes at
the same time = good luck with that)... so you could say I've also been
waiting for an excuse to get rid of it... Maybe if Adam is successful in
getting the Hercules/Guillemot folks to help myself or Melanie, we can get
MP3 control going again one day...

Changelog notes:

Version 1.6.0 --- Dec 5 2007 --- Garth Dahlstrom <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
 * Developed on Hercule DJ Console MK2 - MK1 may also work, untested
 * Fixed control scale to be 0.0 to 4.0 on bass, mid, treb, etc
 * Fixed pitch knob to be from -1.0 to 1.0
 * Fixed volume sliders to be from 0.0 to 1.0
 * Fixed crossfader to be -1.0 to 1.0
 * Fixed Play buttons to send the NOT (!) value whatever the current
playback status is
 * Button LEDs light up when pressed
 * REMOVED legacy dev/file based support for Hercs used in Mixxx 1.5.0 and
earlier (Alberts MP3 Control won't work unless Mel can get it going with
libdjconsole). The last straw why this code has now been removed is with the
recent engine changes to the meanings of all of the control values, this
block of code would need a large update and a bit of testing to get
everything working in the manner it used to...

Also missed from the changelog is that that headphones dial on Mk2 is
somewhat usable thanks to Thomas' patch.

Cheers,

-G
