Also, what's with the non-linearity of some of the controls? If I send the 
volume control 1.0 (i.e. half way, and it is half way on the hardware), it 
ends up a bit above there, more like 3/5ths or so. I tried adapting the magic 
formula that's in herculeslinux.cpp, but that overcorrects quite 
significantly.
