- Dual core athlon64 2.2GHz ..   hardly any CPU load when running mixxx,
as long as I leave the lo/mid/hi range btns alone
- Using alsa at 48kHz .. 44.1 wont work at all.  Will try playing with
jack in a minute, but dont have much time today (its just a little xmas
gig at work)
- running as root on a stock kernel. Will have a play with RT kernel
later on


After the xmas break, Ill probably just get another cheapy cmipci card
for this machine, and spend the money on that Herc DJ console I have
been lusting after in the music shop window.

But investing some time in setting up a decent realtime kernel + getting
jack and some software toys setup would also be worthwhile, given time. 
Unfortunately, the so called xmas holidays are already booked up with
work work work already, so maybe in the new year :)
