Hi (again) guys,
I've been working on the library for a while now so we can get
playlist support happening again. The general idea for this that Adam
and I have discussed is that there's going to be another entry in the
combobox called "Playlists", which displays your playlists in the
table view. When you double-click on one of your playlists, it should
let you preview the playlist, and if you right-click on the playlist,
you'll be able to send it to the play queue.
Central to this new design is the play queue, which will be the only
place Mixxx will pull songs from when you're using the players in
"NEXT" mode. Whether you're DJing at a club or doing radio DJing, you
basically always want a queue of songs lined up, either ready for you
to load manually (STOP mode) or to be loaded automatically (NEXT mode).
In order to add songs to a playlist, you'll be able to right-click on
a song and go to "Send to-> {list of your playlists}". I've already
added basic multiple-selection functionality to the track table to
help make this useful.
I've also been slowly trying to fix up the terrible class layout of
the library code and adding FIXME qDebug()s where I see something that
needs fixing.
Anyways, this is the general idea. I tried to keep this design as
simple as possible. Feel free to share any comments/ideas/criticism.
Thanks,
Albert
