Hi guys,

I set up a new Dokuwiki installation at:
http://www.mixxx.org/wiki

I've manually copied over most of the useful pages and done some
reformatting. The reasons for creating a new wiki are as follows:

- MediaWiki turned out to be pretty slow, and it's interface made it
annoying to edit pages. If we want people to contribute, it needs to be
easy. I decided to try Dokuwiki because it looked pretty simple, but
still had some decent features. Most of the wiki software I looked at
has like blog support and all this other CMS-like stuff that we don't
need - what's up with that?
- The organization of the old wiki turned into a bit of a mess.
Information was spread out all over the place, and it was too hard to
get to the useful pages. The old wiki was an experiment though, so we've
now got a chance to learn from our mistakes and start anew.
- I was too lazy to dump the mysql database and reinstall mediawiki on
the new server. It wasn't very much fun to setup the last time... :)

If this wiki turns out to suck, then we'll just switch to different
software in another year and a half, and I'll port all the pages again
(... or something). :)

If you're looking to help out, please feel free to rewrite the compiling
on Win32 and Linux pages for the new wiki. The old ones got a bit messy.
I've also added a "Tutorials" page, so if anyone feels like writing a
tutorial, make yourself at home.

Thanks,
Albert
