I was aiming at what Wikipedia has to say about the topic, which I'm sure you
know already :
"The primary goal of harmonic mixing is to create a smooth transition between
songs. Songs in the same key do not generate a dissonant tone when mixed
together. This technique enables DJs to create a harmonious and consonant
mashup with any music genre".
I wasn't going for a really-boring set that would at least "sound right", but a
good combination of different tracks, with different variations of a genre
(sometimes even different genres), put together in a "harmonic" way. I get the
idea that it should come naturally, but as this is a proposed project, it means
that people actually want it in there...
