Looks like the Aurora is being manufactured and apparently it costs $250
for a kit, sans knobs and top/bottom panels.

Subject: auroramixer KIT PRICING UPDATE & PREORDER INFO

Greetings,

Since introducing the aurora224 mixer to the community 1 month ago,
we are pleased to annouce pricing on the aurora mixer kit; please
read this entire email carefully.

We have partnered with Impact Components, www.impactcomponents.com
<http://www.impactcomponents.com/>
, a reputable supplier with over 20 years of industry experience, to
bring you the best pricing possible.

The pricing will be $250.00USD for each complete kit, and domestic
and international shipping is available. We are excited to offer the
kit to the community. The kit will consist of: an aurora circuit
board, 2 preprogrammed PICs, and all of the components listed on the
electrical bill of materials. This kit must be soldered by hand, and
is recommended for users who a) would like to build a mixer at a low
cost b) are experienced with electronic assembly.

The kit will not include the following items: the top aluminum and
Plexiglas panels, rubber knobs, or mechanical hardware. In the near
future, we may offer the top and bottom panels for sale separately on
the website.

IF YOU ARE CERTAIN YOU WANT A KIT REPLY TO THIS E-MAIL. (Don't change
the subject please). Please post your questions regarding the kits on
the forum, not in this email. There is a 5 day window to respond,
please keep this in mind. You are not pre-ordering or ordering a kit
at this point. We are using your email responses to determine the
number of serious buyers that are interested in the kit.

Once 50 people or more have responded, we will begin a pre-order
process. On the order page, we will have 50 or more KITs available
for pre-order. There will be a 4 to 5 week lead time associated
between the pre order and actual shipment. Each kit will require a
deposit of $50 to $75USD to be made at time of pre-order purchase.
This deposit will be handled by a secure payment interface using
Paypal. Submitting this deposit guarantees an aurora kit is reserved
for you. In order to ship the kit, you will be required to pay the
remaining balance in full. More details on deposit amount and
shipping costs will follow depending on the response we get on the
kits.

If this process of pre-ordering and shipping goes smoothly, we plan
on offering assembled and tested mixers to the community.

We are available to answer your questions on the forum:

. Here is a direct link to the forum topic:

We look forward to your emails,
The aurora Team
