This is what I have:

[Channel1]
play s
cue_default w
cue_gotoandstop shift+w
cue_set shift+q
back a
fwd d

I understand that pressing w should have the same behaviour as pressing the 
mouse over the CUE button. Am I wrong?

In fact it works as expected if I press it for *a very small time interval*. 
If I live the finger on it for more time it starts to set marks like crazy:

Debug: WaveformRenderMark :: MarkPoint =  1.09541e+06
Debug: WaveformRenderMark :: MarkPoint =  1.10095e+06
Debug: WaveformRenderMark :: MarkPoint =  1.1066e+06

Does this not happen to you?
