I think you're probably right that this would be the "right" way to do  
it, but it sounds like it'd be a LOT of work to do. I've changed my  
mind on this too - If I were a new guy (eg. Joe), I'd just hack the  
simplest thing in right now, which would be the original single- 
ControlObject toggle mechanism that I originally suggested.

The more complicated you make it, the more likely you'll be to get  
bored and not end up finishing the project. :)
