I pretty much have to agree with Sean, minor version numbers should be
for small bugfixes. One of the strong points of OSS is being able to
"release early, release often", as they say.

I've heard that 1.6.2 has been announced in the blogosphere and the
internet so maybe the next major version should stick with that. After
that the new version could be 1.7.
