I think stable versions should be tested with the releases which are
supposed to support a said release, but supporting beta releases
should be optional.

I use jaunty, and have for months now. I know someone else does too.
But we may not always have people using beta releases of ubuntu, and
we'll never have someone for all beta releases of all distributions.
Besides, the actual distro itself could have a nasty regression which
affects mixxx. Jaunty has had more than a few hiccups (ATI Drivers,
weird portaudio bugs... etc...) all of which affect mixxx in one way
or another.

Just to be sane, beta releases *MIGHT* (and usually will) work, but
let's not get arsed about it if they don't. As they say, *BUYER
BEWARE*.
