Dearest DJs, I've added the short list of remaining 1.7.0 Beta 2 tasks to our never-ending TODO list page: http://mixxx.org/wiki/doku.php/1.7.0_to_do_list#tasks
The above list is cherry-picked from our wider list of 1.7 series bugs ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/mixxx/1.7/+bugs ), but I think these are the most important ones. We've seen our flow of bug reports slow down recently, so I think we've found the big bugs at least. Before I forget - We've discovered that I've probably been screwing up the ever win32 release I've ever made by forgetting to bundle the MS Visual C++ Runtime DLLs, which has definitely been a source of problems for win32 users. We've also discovered this timecode LUT corruption bug, which I will bet is also causing a large number of crash-on-startup bugs (my bad). So even though we haven't seen a huge amount of development done since Beta 1, our second beta is probably going to work properly for a lot more Windows users. I've volunteered Sean to do the Win32 and Win64 installer packages for Beta 2, which will place that process in better hands. :) Lastly, if we get Beta 2 feedback that indicates that we really did fix the bugs we intended to, then we can treat it as a release candidate and push out 1.7.0 final shortly after. Put your champagne on standby. :) Thanks, Albert ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Are you an open source citizen?
