Alternatively, we could use the player color and its inverse. For now 
I've just gone with background color and its inverse, since it produced 
much more normal colors (black and white for most skins). For those who 
are interested and want to take a look at this code I pushed it to 
Launchpad at lp:~mixxxdevelopers/mixxx/features_waveform. It's a branch 
off of features_looping.
