Hi all, Mixxx 1.8 will be plugin-based to bypass legal issues with mp4. I think we face similar issues with shoutcast support. Like all MP3 encoders, LAME implements some technology covered by patents owned by the Fraunhofer Society and other entities. In Audacity, for instance, you'll need to download a lame_enc.dll to enable functionality.
How do we handle the problem with focus on shoutcast?
