I just tagged trunk at beta2 and created a release branch for the 1.8
series: https://code.launchpad.net/~mixxxdevelopers/mixxx/release-1.8.x
You can checkout the 1.8 release branch by doing:
bzr branch lp:mixxx/1.8 for a checkout in distributed mode
or
bzr co lp:mixxx/1.8 for a checkout
or
bzr branch lp:mixxx/1.8 --stacked
for a stacked branch. A stacked branch acts like BZR in distributed mode,
but doesn't have the full repository history. When you perform an action
that would require history it doesn't have, it looks it up on launchpad.
This is very nice if you don't want to have yet another >200MB branch of
Mixxx.
Our release builders have begun work on building packages and we should have
them shortly. Albert will announce 1.8.0 beta2 when they are ready.
Trunk will now be open for new feature branches to merge into it. The Hydra
branch which provides engine support for greater than 2 decks will be merged
soon (as soon as it has been properly code reviewed), so the GSOC'ers can
base their work on it. The feature freeze is over -- huzzah!
