Hi all, Happy to say my branch is compiling and seems to be working! Audio output is working as it should and I haven't ran into any horrible segfaults or bad assertions yet. However, I don't currently have a 2-channel input for my computer so I can't test to make sure I didn't break vinyl control.
If someone could check out my branch who can test that vinyl control is working do so and report back on success or failure, I'd greatly appreciate it. The branch is lp:~bkgood/mixxx/features_external_mixer, and you'll want revision 2425 (I can't guarantee it'll still compile when I push next :)). For those interested, what I've done is somewhat "abstracted" (that's the best verb I can think of at 2 am) soundmanager and sounddevice so that many different inputs and outputs can be used by Mixxx -- a simple concept, but has resulted in a fair amount of code. Currently, there's no additional user- facing functionality, the necessary changes to the preferences system are next on the agenda, well, right after bed, of course :) Thanks for any help!
