Hi all,
I'm working on adding per-deck buttons for the mixxx's pitch-independent time
stretch function to the GUI; currently the option is only available
application-wide via the sound prefs, which makes for multiple problems: you
can't use vinyl emulation with one deck and PITS for another and you can't
toggle PITS on and off without rebooting the audio threads (so audio processing
halts for a moment). It also takes up valuable preferences space.

However, I need to sort out naming. "Pitch-independent time stretch" is quasi-
accurate, but a mouthful and not a standard term. My first inclination was to
call the button (and backing CO) "keylock", but I know there are various other
common names for this functionality out there (IIRC Traktor, Serato,
VirtualDJ, Pioneer CDJs and various other hardware/software entities call it
all different things). Does anyone have a preferred name? Fitting "Pitch-
independent time stretch" on a button isn't going to happen, and "PITS" is a
basically unknown acronym.

Bill
