Thanks for updating the wiki. There's nothing stopping you from making a
skin for your favorite MIDI controller. We may or may not be able to
distribute it with Mixxx if any trademarks are represented in the skin, but
it could be considered fair use.

What you're talking about though, the rich-integration of the skin and the
MIDI controller, is not currently possible. Right now we're trying to
spec-out how we should re-write the skinning system, and the ability for
MIDI script to affect the GUI is something that might be interesting to take
into account. I know that madjester was talking about allowing MIDI script
to pop up it's own little GUI for the MIDI device.
