Can you file a bug on this? Also include the OS version, version of 
Mixxx, etc. And does this happen with all sound files or only certain ones?

That sounds like a really neat feature. We would welcome your 
contribution if you decide to implement it properly. You should do it in 
a Launchpad branch so that when it's done, we can easily review and

Building on Windows is not always easy and I haven't tried building 1.10 
myself yet on Windows.
