Hello all, As you all know we've had several requests to show song similarity. I have found a couple of projects which use Mel Frequency Cepstral Coeficients: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mel-frequency_cepstral_coefficient. Both Imms: http://imms.luminal.org/, and Mirage: http://hop.at/mirage/, a plugin for Banshee, use this technique to calculate song similarity. It would be interesting to see how good it works and to see if we can implement it into Mixxx. The graphical side of things would also need to be worked out.
