I am working on a solution, using the clementine tagreader.
I have a working prototype in my branch
lp:~daschuer/mixxx/daschuers_trunk
<https://code.launchpad.net/%7Edaschuer/mixxx/daschuers_trunk>.
Currently I am working on unit tests to verify how robust it works.
Owen Williams has also a working solution in
lp:~ywwg/mixxx/DJO-hacks-1.10 based on the existing code in Mixxx.
I think the most concerns of possible solutions have been already
discussed on this list.
