Hi, As I reported earlier, there were some XML mapping inconsistencies in our controller MIDI mappings. Since we show these strings in the controller selection UI in 1.11 (including wiki and forum links!), I think it's quite important to have correct information for all fields to get better user experience.
I'm not worried about missing <wiki> and <forums> links. Ideally all controllers should have a wiki page, describing how the mapping works, but we can't expect to make this mandatory for every mapping. I now removed the duplicate controls from MIDI mappings in my branch (carefully checking it defines exactly same control in each case), and added missing <description> tags with simple description to mappings missing a description, but now I have a problem: some mappings don't tell who has written it and I can't just guess the Author field obviously. So, could you please tell me the authors of following mappings so I can fill in the details to <author> tags in the XML files. Akai MPD24.midi.xml American Audio RADIUS 2000 CH1 and CH2.midi.xml (js file says Markus Steinbauer?) Behringer BCD3000.midi.xml DJ-Tech i-Mix Reload.midi.xml Mixman DM2 (OS X).midi.xml Also, we may wish to check the descriptions for controllers and fix the "Automatically converted by …" messages to something more descriptive. Why I bother with these descriptions? Because in 1.11 these tags are even more visible than before in controller selection UI and having strings which make sense is part of general UI polish for release. Not critical, just something nice to do :) *hile* ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
