Welcome to mixxx-devel!
You are right, if finally both projects will get accepted they will be
overlapping.
But thats no problem if we exactly define the focus.
For example like this:
One big task in the cover art project will be is managing the cover arts
data.
The library redesign focuses on DJ Use-cases and free space for new
features e.g. Cover arts.
Both projects can easily fill two GSoC projects and the mentors have to
be aware that the final plan is not to ambitious so there is nothing
suitable for trunk at pencils down time.
But feel free to propose you own project focus, it might be an
alternative in case there is final only one slot left.
