Hello!

I'm a student at University of Wrocław, Poland. I'm interesting in programming
and music, especially electronic music and DJing. I have (I think) good
knowledge about C++ and object-oriented programming, I wrote some code with
GTK+ once, but I'm not much experienced and GSoC must be a great way to
progress. I would like to participate in GSoC 2014 with Mixxx.

My proposal is inspired by https://bugs.launchpad.net/mixxx/+bug/1294926.
Adding a rate of effect oscillation feature will be a good step to improve
effects module (I guess there will be more than one FX in the future). There
are some effects, for example flanger that can use this value in signal
processing. At the same time, I also think of applying it to the flanger in
Mixxx. Graphical representation? It can be pull-down list with rates. I was
thinking about knob like it is in Traktor, but since Mixxx don't show value of
a knob when mouse is over, it wouldn't be comfortable.

I would like to ask what do you think about this proposal.

Cheers,
Daniel
