So far I have the following results:
* Windows XP Pro SP3, 32-bit
-> Mixxx 32-bit works perfectly (audio codecs and waveforms)
* Windows 7 Pro SP1, 64-bit
-> Mixxx 32-bit runs successfully (no other testing)
-> Mixxx 64-bit runs successfully (no other testing)
* Windows 8.1 64-bit, Intel Core i7-4702MQ with 8 cores at 2.2 GHz, 8GB of
RAM and Intel HD Graphics 4600
-> Mixxx 32-bit works perfectly (audio codecs and waveforms)
-> Mixxx 64-bit crashes at startup
-> Main root cause is a bad interaction with JACK 64-bit ASIO driver
(JackRouter.dll). Will file a bug and follow-up with JACK and PortAudio
teams.
-> After removing JACK, still crashes (elsewhere) at startup. Need to dig
in further -- Debug builds are almost ready.
Give it a shot and post your results!
