Hi, Some controllers have several different use cases. For example, the Allen & Heath Xone K2 (see picture) can be used as a 4-Fx controller, as a 4-deck mixer controller or as a 2 deck + 2-Fx controller. All of these are typical use cases.
Mixxx should provide several different mappings for controllers that have several use cases. This way, a user using an external mixer could easily integrate a Xone K2 controller to control the Fx without the need to map all the controls. Likewise, another user could just unbox his/her new Xone K2 and be djing in a 2-deck fashion within minutes. So Mixxx needs an easy way to show the user which mappings are available for his/her controllers and the intended use case of each. What do you think? Shall I file a bug? How do we handle this for 1.12? We will bring 4-deck plus Fx, so this issue now becomes relevant.
