I will also try to get my hands on my VMS2 again and have a look. I already commented on the launchpad bug [1]. The midino's were quite a bit different to the VMS4. I think we can safely remove Groschi's experimental VMS2 mapping for the next release and only keep the "Alternative" as soon as this is fixed. Groschi suggested that in the forum thread linked from the VMS2 wiki page [2]. Currently I am trying to use the EKS Otus, for which the wiki claims a "certified" mapping exists. However, the provided mapping only has very basic functionality, definitely not suited for production use. For example the jog wheel wrap-around does not work reliable. Also the touch strip pitch adjustment is very inaccurate, among a lot of other shortcommings. Does any official developer use this device? I suggest moving it to "community provided" mappings, since it does not nearly match what one would expect from a "certified" mapping. The wiki also incorrectly claims the device does not have a builtin soundcard, for that's the one thing that works reliable with my Linux box ;) Greetings snu [1] https://bugs.launchpad.net/mixxx/+bug/1480630 [2] http://www.mixxx.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3202&start=10#p19284 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Get Mixxx, the #1 Free MP3 DJ Mixing software Today http://mixxx.org Mixxx-devel mailing list Mixxx-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/mixxx-devel
