Yea, I didn't do this because there are some downsides:
- active PRs against 1.12 will have to be closed and a new one opened
(losing their comment history)
- people who don't really understand git and just type the commands they
know will be confused as "git pull" will stop working
- minor annoyances to everyone having to change their remote tracking
branch
- minor annoyances to me as I have to update every buildserver job to use
2.0 instead of 1.12 :)
Maybe once activity has moved on to the 2.1 branch it will be less
disruptive to change?
