Hi Mixxxers !
I’m vilvanesh. Today I installed mixxx from the package downloaded
from mixxx.org <http://mixxx.org/>. I was playing with the cross fader ,speed
control and spinnies,etc. Yes , I’m a newbie but I had lot of fun playing with
my playlist and Mixxx. Thanks for the Beginner Dj Links (
http://www.mixxx.org/wiki/doku.php/beginner_dj_links ) , they were helpful. I
don’t understand why the text and graphics in Mixxx are not razor sharp , I
mean they are kind of loosely packed . I have a Macbook Pro 15” Retina early
2015 model and it runs OS X El Capitan , is the problem observed only in my
machine or anyone else finds it too? any fixes ?
I tried to build Mixxx from source but I couldn’t install the dependency
rubberband . I have attached the log at the bottom when I tried installing
rubber band using Homebrew (version:0.9.5). Is there a solution for this or
should I build it(rubber band) from source ?
I’m also interested in participating in the GSoC program , but I’m not a pro
. I’m good at C++ , know how to use git , have some idea about Qt, but
completely new to open source software development . I will make a proposal and
post it here , please take a look and give feedback . A summer of how to DJ and
programming ,sounds cool :) .
