        but transcode is in a class by itself ;)

        Thanks for the explanation.   I still find "yuvscaler -O SVCD"
        simpler/easier :)

        Possible.   I have seen a player (JVC as I recall) that claimed
        to support SVCDs but in order to get it to play them without
        jitter/stuttering I had to drop the average bitrate down from
        SVCD's ~2500 to around 2100.   It just didn't have very good
        SVCD compatibility ;(

        What does mplex say your average bitrate is?
