I have purchaced 4 lml33's at $410 each. This was before the Canopus was available for around $100. It's simple economics - you can get better quality and stability (works on ALL chipsets) and portability (external unit can be carried from computer to computer and works with Windows apps) with this solution.
The ONLY advantage of a lml33 or DC10+ is the MJPEG files are smaller than DV, but with prices of disks comming down that becomes less of a issue. As much as I was super excited to get my lml33's at the time - I wish I could return these guys for a full refund and apply that money to one of these units.
