I have a little something that's designed to grab one frame from the video input and process it with ImageMagick. In order to retrieve that single frame, I currently grab one second of avi video with lavrec, the smallest amount possible to specify, and then extract one frame to a jpeg from that file with lavtrans.
Is there a better way to grab just one frame?
